Pricing & Booking

How much does recording at the studio cost?
Our most popular option is Full Service at 650 CZK/hr (weekdays) or 600 CZK/hr (weekends and holidays) — and it includes everything: production, editing, recording, mix, mastering, arrangement consultation, and accommodation at the studio. If you prefer to record yourself, we offer standalone studio rental at 300 CZK/hr (weekdays) / 350 CZK/hr (weekends), or a full day (8am–10pm) for 2,000 CZK / 2,500 CZK. Full pricing is in the Services & Pricing section. We offer students a 30% discount.
How much will a typical project cost (single / EP)?
Roughly speaking: one single (record, mix and master) usually fits within 8–12 hours of full service, so about 5,200 – 7,800 CZK. A short EP (3–4 tracks) typically comes to 20,000 – 35,000 CZK depending on how many tracks you record and how finished your arrangements are before coming to the studio. We're happy to give you a more precise quote after a short description of your project — just write to us.
How much will it cost for a beginner band recording their first track?
For a beginner band that's never been in a studio, we typically recommend starting with 1–2 songs. That usually takes 1–2 days — it depends a lot on how the musicians handle it, how prepared they are, and how complex their arrangements are. The total cost typically ranges between 6,000 and 12,000 CZK for full service including accommodation. We'll guide you through the entire process step by step and explain how recording works. Students get a 30% discount.
How much does mix and mastering alone cost?
If you've recorded yourself and only need professional mix and mastering, the price depends on the number of tracks and the complexity of the song. A typical single usually takes about 5 hours for a mix — plus mastering on top. Send us your track count and a rough mix or individual stems, and we'll get back to you with a custom quote right away.
How do I book a session?
The easiest way is to contact us through the contact form or directly by email at studio@stablerecords.cz. We'll agree on a date, session length and your needs. You can also check available dates in the calendar on our website.

Recording & Equipment

Do I need to bring my own instruments?
No. The studio has all the basic instruments — drums, guitars, bass, guitar amps and other equipment you'll commonly need. You can find the full list in the Studio Equipment section on the Recording service page. But if you have favourite instruments or amps that matter to you, feel free to bring them — we're happy to work with them.
How long does mixing and mastering one song take?
For a medium-complexity song, expect about 4–6 hours of mix work and 1–2 hours for mastering. The exact time depends on track count, recording quality and how much editing is needed.
How long does a typical recording session last?
It depends on the project. A single can usually be done in one day; a full album typically requires multiple days. We're happy to help you plan and estimate the time needed.
Do you offer remote mixing/mastering?
Yes. You can send your tracks remotely and we will deliver a full mix and master. We'll align on references and goals so the result fits your sound.
What output formats do you offer?
We deliver the final mix in WAV (24bit/44.1kHz or 48kHz) and MP3 formats. For streaming (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) we provide mastering that meets platform loudness standards.

Beginner Bands & Education

Will you help us as a beginner band?
Absolutely — that's our speciality. We guide bands through the entire process from pre-production, through recording, to the final master. We explain every step and teach you how the whole process works.
What is pre-production and do we need it?
Pre-production is preparation before the actual recording — refining arrangements, thoroughly rehearsing the material and fine-tuning the sound of your instruments. It significantly saves time in the studio and improves the result. We recommend it for beginner bands.

Accommodation

Is accommodation included in the recording price?
It depends on the service you choose. With full service (where I work with you in the studio and help with production), accommodation for up to 7 people is included at no extra charge. If you're renting just the studio independently (without my involvement) and want to stay overnight, we charge 500 CZK per occupied bed per night. A barbecue and pool are also available.
How far is the studio from Prague?
The studio is located in Březová-Oleško, approximately 20 km from Prague — about 30 minutes by car. The quiet environment outside the city helps you focus on creating.
